Suitably Qualified & Experienced Teams (SQEP), integrate with client team’s processes and procedures with the aim of operating to the highest standards of safety, security and environmental responsibility. Our teams prepare documents to describe technical approach, work sequence, specific H & S requirements, security requirements, interdependencies, specialist tooling/equipment required, waste management, housekeeping and material storage, ensuring work scope is well defined and all hazards have been identified, eliminated or mitigated with appropriate controls. The Squibb team develop detailed decontamination plans based on the history of the facilities and from current and available radiological surveys. Where no current radiological data can be provided our teams have the capability to facilitate the development and delivery of Sampling and Analysis Plans (involving full radiological characterisation). Aware of the limited availability of Health Physics Monitors Squibb Group can perform this task utilising our Decommissioning Technicians who are all SQEP level 5 Health Physics Monitors.
Squibb Group, as an equal partner of the Nexus consortia made up of Costain, Mott Macdonald, NG Bailey & Safety Critical, are currently engaged as one of the Lot Delivery Partners (LDP’s) for the next decade on a DDP decommissioning framework contract for Sellafield Ltd, with works covering specialist decontamination/demolition works including asbestos removal.
